There are many fascinating museums to visit in Stockholm, perfect for a rainy summer day!

The Vasamuseum is one of the most famous, displaying the world's only well-preserved 17th century ship, that sank in 1628 and was salvaged in 1961. Well worth a visit!

If you are interested in modern photography, the Photographic museum has one of the largest collections. It also offers one of the best views over Stockholm in its bar.

For experiencing 20th century art work, the Modern Museum has a lot to offer. It is also situated at the beautiful Skeppsholmen.

A great collection of both art and design can be found at the National Museum.

Skansen is a large area on Djurgården where you get to experience a nordic animal park combined with a piece of Swedish history. Traditional old houses and other buildings have been transported here from all over the country, one of the many highlights is a chruch from around 1700.
